For the construction of our new home, my expectations were very high. I am a licensed professional engineer with more than 40 years of experience in the construction phase of various architectural and engineering building projects. Having completed the construction of our house in St James approximately a year ago, my wife and I are completely satisfied with the building process using Southern Comfort Homes. Michael High and his team were always available, to work with us, making sure the subcontractors performed quality work throughout. There were no schedule, cost, or quality surprises. They do what they say they will, on time, and with no surprise change orders. With building costs rising so fast, Michael worked with us to value engineer our house design so that it would fit into our budget, while delivering all the aesthetic and functional features we had our hearts set on. Their efforts did not end when the house was finished. They continue to be available after the house is done, to make any adjustments or minor fixes that might come up (there have not been many!). We cannot recommend Southern Comfort enough and our home is always open to anyone that wants to see what an honest, hardworking, and smart builder can do.
